Why and when are men moved to speak? To whom—and for what reason?

Such questions have inspired playwrights to write, actors to perform, and audiences to applaud dramatically unique monologues. Teacher/playwrights Gary Garrison and Michael Wright have considered these questions and answered them by bringing together nearly 50 monologues.
